At St Agnes’ CCMA, our teaching staff, conductors and leaders are highly qualified and motivated to support and tutor our participants across all of our activities. With an emphasis on inclusivity in group classes, our staff will guide and encourage through your learning journey.
Management
Hilda Milner
General Manager
With over 30 years experience in music education, Hilda Milner joined St Agnes’ CCMA as General Manager in 2022. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin in both BA in music and MSC in Educational Management, Hilda started her career as a recorder player and teacher and in 1996 was appointed Director of Newpark Music Centre. In 2001, she took up the role of lecturer of recorder and conductor of the RIAM Recorder Ensemble at the RIAM and also was Senior Examiner at the Local Centres Examinations for 8 years. Hilda has worked on many outreach projects with the NCH and INO, developing ensemble playing for primary schools.

Sister Bernadette Sweeney
Founder Director
Sr Bernadette started her journey with St Agnes’Primary School as Principal for 15 years and during her time here, she started the original St Agnes’ Violin Project in 2006. This ground breaking initiative grew from strength to strength and blossomed into the Parents Orchestra and then she spearheaded the development of the CCMA in 2013. Now an active member of the Board of Directors while also working with the General Manager, she continues to be an inspirational figure in Crumlin and its surrounds.
Dr Joanna Crooks
Founder/ Orchestral Manager
Dr Joanna Crooks has been at the forefront of youth orchestral development in Ireland for many years. A former manager of the National Youth Orchestra while also being very involved in Dublin Youth Orchestras, Joanna came to St Agnes’ in 2006 to help set up the project. Joanna also took on the role of Prodcution Manager of the Musical Society for 10 years in 2011. She was awarded an honorary Doctorate from NUI Maynooth.

Margaret McCabe
Assistant Orchestral Manager / Musical Society
Margaret has been involved in St Agnes’ since the beginning of the project, firstly as a player and on stage and then later as assistant orchestral manager. She also has been very much involved in the Musical Society and works with the costumes and backstage for every show. Always a smile for everyone, Margaret gives so much of her time to St Agnes’ CCMA and is always on hand to help.

Karen Connolly
Our Office Manager, Karen, is at the heart of the office and manages the bookings and timetabling for all of our instrumental classes. Karen has worked at St Agnes’ CCMA for many years.
