Musical Society

Become a part of our vibrant Musical Society and share your love for music theatre with like-minded enthusiasts. We have a Junior and Adult cast and performances include many of the classic shows as well as some more contemporary shows. Recent shows include My Fair Lady, Calamity Jane, Oliver and Fiddler on the Roof as well as some pantomimes including Aladdin and Cinderella. Each year, we stage a fully costumed show with live orchestra. Led by Stage Director, Cliona Frost, the Musical Society is staffed by Peter Mullen (Musical Director), Gerry Noonan (Chorus Director) and a number of choreographers. Shows take place in Scoil Una Naofa, Crumlin and The Civic Theatre.

St Agnes' CCMA Community Choir

Raise your voice with the St Agnes' CCMA Community Choir. Our ensemble brings together singers of all levels, creating a harmonious blend of voices. From choral classics to contemporary arrangements, we explore a diverse repertoire. Our choir perform in many settings, including a number of performances with our Late Starters Orchestra each year. Join us in the joyous experience of communal singing and musical expression.

St Agnes' CMMA Chamber Youth Orchestra

Conducted by our amazing conductor, Cillian O' Breacháin, our Chamber Youth Orchestra (CYO) is for secondary school aged players of bowed string instruments. Many progress form our SUNNY Strings Junior Orchestra but it is open to anyone playing a bowed string instrument. The CYO play at many concerts locally and also take part in our annual Summer Camp in July. They have performed on many national stages, including the National Concert Hall, TU Dublin Concert Hall Grangegorman and the National Conference Centre. As part of a collaboration orchestra spanning 3 counties, our CYO performed in the 28th IAYO Festival. Membership is free.

Late Starters Orchestra

It's never too late to start your musical journey! Join our Late Starter Orchestra(LSO) and explore the world of orchestral music at your own pace. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or returning after a hiatus, our supportive string ensemble welcomes all. Choose from one of the following instruments - violin, viola, cello or double bass and we'll start you off playing with our experienced tutors. Once you've mastered the basics, you can join our 100 piece string orchestra on Monday evenings. Conducted by the inspirational Seamus Doyle, our LSO perform frequently both locally and nationally. Many participants take part in our annual Summer Camp, finishing the year with a performance in ChristChurch Cathedral. Membership costs €200 per annum and you can borrow an instrument on a long term basis.

Memory Lane Choir

Journey through the power of music with our Memory Lane Choir. This special ensemble provides a supportive space for all individuals and their families/ carers who may be experiencing memory loss. Through familiar tunes and harmonious connections, our conductor Gerry Noonan and accompanist Celine Carroll work their magic on Monday mornings at CCMA with the participants. The trip down memory lane includes many of the golden oldies tunes and a chat and a sing song for all. As part of our social inclusion for older people and adults with intellectual disability, the Memory Lane Choir can be therapeutic addition through your Social Prescriber also. Free of charge, just a voluntary contribution for the all important 'cuppa' at the end.
