Hansel & Gretel  - 12th and 13th January
 A fabulous production of Hansel and Gretel captured on camera by Martin O’Brien. Well done to all the cast on a great production, and thanks to all those volunteers who helped make the production such a success.

Chamber Orchestra to travel to Madrid.
St Agnes’ Chamber Orchestra will fly off to MADRID for a short tour June 22nd to 25th, where they will perform in two concerts with musicians from the Municipal School of Music of Tres Cantos, Madrid, and will be the guests of the Irish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain at a reception on Sunday June 24th.  Thanks to all those who gave up so much time fundraising including bag packing, pub quiz etc.

 St Agnes' Annual Summer Camp
The musical year ends with Summer Camp, a unique intergenerational camp for string players from primary school upwards without age limits! The annual concert in Christ Church Cathedral , Dublin, is a highlight of the year, and took place on Thursday July 5th at 5 pm. Everyone is welcome. St Agnes' Parent's Orchestra founded in 2010 by school parents now has 100 members aged 20-80 including parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, past parents and many members of the community. New members are always welcome and absolutely no previous experience is needed. 

Concert at Christchurch Cathederal

 
CCMA Student performs a solo at the National Concert Hall and Christchurch Cathedral Dublin.
Kellie O’Neill performed  Telemann at forthcoming concerts. Kellie will play 1st movement of the Telemann concerto in G major for viola with St Agnes Chamber Orchestra at Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday November 5th at 6 pm and on Saturday 9th February at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, at the 24th Festival of Youth Orchestras, of IAYO Irish Association of Youth Orchestras.

‘Oliver!’ the musical was our most recent production of the St. Agnes’ Musical Society, 23rd to 25th March 2018 With songs like ‘I’d do Anything’, ‘You’ve got to pick a pocket or two’, and ‘Food glorious Food’, it had plenty of fun and action and was a great outing for all the family.

Sarabande Ensemble at Bealtaine Festival
The Sarabande Ensemble, all members of St. Agnes' Agnes’ Parents String Orchestra perform on Wednesday 23rd May in a Bealtaine Festival event for Lorcan O'Toole Day Centre, Lorcan O'Toole Park, Crumlin, Dublin 12. 

First day at DYO for young musicians
David Lindsay and his cello enjoying first day with Dublin Youth Orchestras Junior Strings along with Kiara Caulfield, violin,  and Sarah Caulfield, viola, and Lisa Slattery, cello. They are joining Siyu Li (Nini) and Sami Jones, both double bass players, who are already DYO members. DYO opens the door to a new world of adventure in music! All DYO players take part in a gala concert annually in January at the National Concert Hall.

’Sing a Song of Broadway’
Following their recent smash hit Oliver!’, St Agnes’ Musical Society held a musical evening  ‘Sing a Song of Broadway’. There were hits from the shows in a concert performance on  May 23rd , Frehills Tavern, Crumlin.

Carlingford Charity Concert
St Agnes Parents String Orchestra conducted by Naoise Dack performed at the FOY CENTRE in Carlingford on Sunday 20th May 2018 in a concert in aid of Carlingford RNLI. Cór Chairlinne conducted by Clodagh O'Gorman joined the orchestra for an arrangement of  Vivaldi's GLORIA and also performed a programme accompanied on keyboard by their conductor. Just over €2000  was raised for Carlingford RNLI.  Nineteen members of the orchestra will join St Agnes Chamber Orchestra for a short tour to Madrid June 22nd - 25th
