CCMA COVID-19 Policy

The St. Agnes' CCMA will be guided by the most recent Government and HSE Guidelines in the reopening of the Centre in September. The CCMA will implement the recommended infection prevention and control measures to ensure the physical wellbeing of all our community members and staff. These measures will be updated in-line with changes to public health guidelines.

St. Agnes' CCMA COVID-19 measures for infection prevention and control as of August 09 2021.

Community Music Classes: Those attending must:

  • Show proof of vaccination for those who are 16 years of age and over.
  • Confirm that a first jab has been received for those between 12 and 15 years of age.
  • Wear a facemask. All students over the age of 13 must wear facemasks.
    Masks for under 18s will not be required if they have developmental disorders, disabilities or other specific health conditions  and will  be assessed on a case by case basis by the child’s parent, guardian, educator and/or medical provider. 
  • Sanitise hands before entry (sanitiser will be provided)
  • Enter through the main door and leave through the designated exit door.
  • Socially distance while in the CCMA building.
  • Not attend class/events if they are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.

Only parents/guardians for children under 12 years of age are allowed to enter the building to wait for their child. Parents must follow the CCMA infection control measures outlined above.

St. Agnes' LSO – Groups attending must:

  • Show proof of vaccination.
  • Wear a facemask.
  • Sanitise hands before entry (sanitiser will be provided).
  • Socially distance while in the CCMA building.
  • Not attend practice if displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.

St. Agnes' Memory Lane Choir

  • The Memory Lane Choir will continue online each Wednesday until Government/HSE guidelines permit indoor choirs.

St. Agnes' Community Choir

  • The Community Choir will continue online each Wednesday until Government/HSE guidelines permit indoor choirs.

The St. Agnes' Chamber Orchestra. Those attending must:

  • Show proof of vaccination for those who are 16 years of age and over.
  • Confirm that a first jab has been received for those between 12 and 15 years of age.
  • Sanitise hands before entering the building – Sanitiser will be provided
  • Maintain a social distance while in the building/class.
  • All chamber orchestra members must wear a face mask.
    Masks will not be required if they have developmental disorders, disabilities or other specific health conditions  and will  be assessed on a case by case basis by the child’s parent, guardian, educator and/or medical provider. 
  • Not attend class if they are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.
  • An option to attend the Chamber orchestra session by Zoom will be available for those who do not wish or cannot attend in person.

The St. Agnes' Community Junior Strings Orchestra: Those attending must:

  • Sanitise hands before entering the building – Sanitiser will be provided.
  • Socially distance while in the CCMA building/classroom.
  • Not attend class if they are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.

St. Agnes' Musical Society – Members and directors must

  • Show proof of vaccination for those who are 16 years of age and over.
  • Confirm that a first jab has been received for those between 12 and 15 years of age.
  • Wear a face mask.
    Masks will not be required if they have developmental disorders, disabilities or other specific health conditions  and will  be assessed on a case by case basis by the child’s parent, guardian, educator and/or medical provider.

  • Socially distance while in the building/class room

The CCMA will continue to engage regularly with key education partners and with the Department of Health and the HSE in respect of the safe operation of the CCMA during COVID-19 and the measures outlined  will be updated accordingly.
