A group of 21 people took part in the short bus trip to the Round Tower at Clondalkin on Friday 20th October. This is the first in a planned series "DISCOVER DUBLIN" arranged by St Agnes Community Centre for Music and the Arts (www.stagnesccma.ie). The group had a guided tour of the newly opened OPW Museum and thoroughly enjoyed the 3D animated film in the round which outlines the history of the Tower and its environs. Some of the group discovered their inner child dressing up in historic costumes laid out for visitors to try on!
These tours are open to students of St Agnes CCMA and members of any of the large group organisations attached to St Agnes' CCMA including the Theatrical Costumes Sewing Group, Crumlin Community Choir, St Agnes" Musical Society and St Agnes' Parents String Orchestra. Friends, relatives and partners are very welcome to join in.
The next trip will take place on Friday 17th November to the newly refurbished and re-opened NATIONAL GALLERY OF IRELAND.
